Mechanical Design Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Concept Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to conceptualize and develop innovative designs tailored to specific applications.
• 3D Modeling & Design: Utilize Siemens NX to create detailed 3D models of components, assemblies, and systems.
• Product Lifecycle Management (PLM): Manage and maintain design data using Siemens Teamcenter, ensuring proper version control and documentation.
• Structural Analysis: Perform (preliminary) structural and thermal analysis to ensure designs meet performance and safety standards.
• Prototyping & Testing: Oversee the creation of prototypes and collaborate with testing teams to validate design performance.
• Documentation: Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, assembly instructions, and BOMs.
• Collaboration: Work closely with electrical, software, and production teams to ensure seamless integration of AGV systems.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve existing designs and processes to enhance product quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Experience:
  • 3+ years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in the AGV or robotics industry.
  • Proficiency in Siemens NX for 3D modeling and drafting.
  • Experience with Siemens Teamcenter for PLM processes.
• Skills:
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems, kinematics, and materials.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as CNC machining, sheet metal design, and 3D printing.
  • Ability to perform FEA (Finite Element Analysis) and interpret results is a plus
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
