Job Description

You are an engineer or scientist with a distinct passion for technology and product development. You have a broad interest in different technology domains.
You have gained experience in a relevant domain, such as the development of complex mechatronic products the development of medical or healthcare devices, FEM or CFD simulations, refrigeration engineering, mechanical engineering, robotics, control engineering, metrology, systems engineering, system verification and certification.
Creating product- and customer-oriented solutions is totally your thing.
Besides the theoretical - scientific side of the job, you are also experienced in defining, executing and analyzing tests.
Data processing and validation can also fascinate you.
Within the design team you are the key person for the selection and development of various innovative drive systems for very different applications, from fine mechanics to high power hydraulics.
As a systems engineer you are the key person within the design team for achieving the (functional) requirements of the developed devices. In doing so, you work on the definition and selection of the product architecture and help steer the project team from a technical system overview.
From the senior R&D engineer role you will grow into technical expert, technical lead, lead system engineer or project manager positions.

You are Master in engineering or industrial sciences (civil or industrial engineer) mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, electromechanics, physics or Master in physics or equivalent by experience.
At least 5 years of relevant experience in R&D, development or engineering is a must.
You have thorough analytical insight and are able to quickly grasp technical problems and propose different solutions: you are a creative problem solver.
You have a broad technical interest and can think multidisciplinary.
Knowledge of and experience with software packages such as Ansys, Fluent, Matlab / Simulink / Simscape, Labview or Python is a plus.
An EU passport or permanent working permit for Belgium is mandatory
