Expert Manufacturing Engineer (machinebuilding)

Verhaert On-site Consulting is part of the Verhaert Group Masters in Innovation.

As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring that production is carried out in the most
time-efficient and cost-effective manner while maintaining overall product quality.

You will ensure the build-out of the department and develop good relationships and collaborations with various parties.

You are the supervisor of the peers during the build-up phase.

Your tasks

• Together with the Project Manager, you share responsibility for achieving quality, delivery, product cost and budget targets
• You take care of build-to-print packages (production part)
• You monitor the detailed planning for assembly, production and logistics and keep it in line with the overall project plan
• You coordinate the project activities within the subteam and follow up on the project goals
• You organise subteam meetings (with assembly, production and logistics) and invite temporary team members ad hoc to these meetings
• You motivate the subteam, lead decision-making and initiate escalation to the Project Manager and/or Team Leader where necessary
• You provide accurate status reports to the Project Manager and/orTeamleader on a regular basis
• You are skilled at monitoring risks/opportunities in the sense of "first time right/first time right" to ensure documentation and therefore these risks

As a Master in Engineering, you possess:

• several years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering
• leadership qualities
• the desire to support employees in their growth
• the desire and capacity to pass on your knowledge
• project management capabilities
• knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Qa/QC and production techniques
• knowledge of risk management
• financial insight

and you have insight into Product Development processes and methodologies

You work full-time 40h on-site
